Dip Style Wings

This was a very interesting wing event.
I had four recipes 3 of which are all cooked the same way but then you cover the wings in a flavour.
Two of the flouvars were pretty much exactly the same except for the Horseraddish coming through in the one.
The Avocado recipe was to die for, I know it sounds strange mixing wings with this green jewel but trust me it works.

Cricket Final Wings

After a long and great cricket season my cricket team Bones Bolters win the league at last :-)

For celebrations we did what any group of blokes would do and that was to eat great food with some cold beer.
Don’t forget to scroll to the bottom for the tasting video and cricket action shots.

Thanks to Edgo and Misty for their wing support and taking on the tasting for the evening.

Wings Tandoori

Tandoori is one of my favourite Indian styled foods. I must admit I don’t have a Tandoor (oven used for making tandoori).
That said this dish turned out very well, but definitely felt like it was missing that magical ingredient. I hope to one day fully recreate some Tandoori Chicken the way it should be …

Devil Island Chicken Wings

When I started making these wings I knew Michelle would love them. They had two of her favourite wings ingredients; tomato and spice.

Needless to say I really liked these too and as a result, I’m starting to fall in love with oven baked wings.

Mircobrew Wings

Exciting times for all our beer-cooks. This is the  second beer recipe I’ve done so far (here is the first).

We used very different flavours in this one so no surprise we got different results…

Ingredients:

veg oil
wings
garlic powder
onion powder
onion
red onion
dried thyme
paprika
black pepper
caraway seeds
dark beer
sugar
apple juice
unsalted butte

So it seems dark beer affects presentation in my eyes, but as they say never judge a wing by it’s feathers. Having said that these wings tasted a lot more balanced than the previous beer recipe
