Chris Stobbs is my name and cooking is the game when it comes to this blog.

Let me start by saying that all posts and views on this blog are mine. There may be times when brands will send me products to use/trial or review. These reviews will be open and honest(both positive and negative) and I will always disclose when this happens. I’m not paid to write anything. When I say I love a product it’s because I do.

I’ve been cooking for about 10 years now and most of my learning and inspiration has come from my mother, father and brother. Big thanks guys you’ve made me see food in a very different way.

As a South African not only do I love meat, but I love a great braai or as most people would call it a BBQ.
Having said this I love all types of cooking, from a stove top stir fry to a good roast in the oven. If I’m honest, the only type of cooking I’m not big on is BAKING, it’s just not in my blood.

So why this blog over my normal blog?
The first reason is I wanted a blog dedicated to cooking. Rather than just writing about food I thought I would take my favourite dish and cook it over and over again in different ways.

So the idea is that each year I will cook an entire cookbook cover to cover, changing the food type/cuisine each year.

This blog is going to be a lot of fun as I take on this challenge. The hope is that I become inspired to invent my own recipes, learn new techniques and one day make my own cookbook.

Not only will I cook, rate and review the recipes, but I will be making videos on techniques for both eating, cooking and well whatever else it is you the readers want.

The name of the blog has come from a very good friend of mine Kira, thanks for helping me to get this started :-)
I’d also like to thank Jim for doing his best over the last few months to help me get my hands on the right cook book, cheers mate.
I would also like to thank my family for teaching me about food and the joy cooking brings me.
Lastly I would like to thank Dean, Ross and Glenn for all the work making this site look as tasty as it does.

Please feel free to contact me , Tweet me or Email Me anytime about anything you want, I love talking food and would love to share ideas
